Pres spox: Russia adamant to honor obligations to supply gas to Europe
MOSCOW, Nov 12 (PRIME) – There is no doubt that Russia will fulfill all its gas supply obligations to Europe, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
“Russia was, is and will continue to be the country that fulfills all its obligations to provide the European consumers with gas and to fulfill its contractual obligations. Russia’s reliability as a supplier and as a partner under the current and future contracts is beyond doubt,” Peskov said.
On Thursday, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko advised the EU against imposing sanctions against Minsk, as the country has gas and cargo transit leverages. For example, the Yamal–Europe gas export pipeline runs through Belarus.
